Sound and Vision  5AM. Dreaming of Verticals and Horizontals looking back and forth with a sense of urgency ,   that its is now or never.  And in the face of eternity  this will disappear but still I, we, persist  to grapple for meaning. and marvel at each passing moment  some seen, some heard  Sound and Vision.  7/20/2014 Bike Cam 7/23/2014 Into the Station  Onto the Platform, where everything is waiting.  A smorgasbord of choices. to taste every one, Sounds Marks Images Tones, Colors, Pulsating movement. Flying over and beyond.  Splashing down.

lifes reflection

Sometime in the past,  The 70's   Somewhere in Kentucky perhaps. I was thinking about memory today  about my father dying. About life slipping past,  gathering speed. I came across this image and it fit somehow,  the reflection of a memory.  Looking for my reflection  I was able to stay just out of view. and I  wonder what is going on outside  in the sunlight, while you lay in your bed  waiting for the lights to go out.

6/25/2014 self Commute  the fragmentation,  the layers,  the light  and the movement keeps changing. 6/25/2014 on the way to work in the AM Bike Cam Reprise. 6/26/2014  On the way home  could have been in California  except for Trump's Tower in the distance. I wonder if it's true what they say about the size of a skyscraper being inverse to the size of one's member? 

It goes back and forth- sometimes its with a lens and others it's with a pen

MI E26- 7/5/2014  1st state This drawing will eventually be enlarged to about 19" X 28" i could see this blown up even larger- the scale of the forms change- the scale of the marks change. Everything is always changing.

Commuting as Abstraction

Commute 1 The eye pretends to see  but the shutter freezes  Commute 2   Movement overlapping  fragments. Steps  frozen in time.  Commute 3 Reflection  of hands holding on to slivers of time embedded into  the heart. Commute 4 The doors close, the conductor repeats his call Bells and whistles, next stop home.

Grand Opening of the Ed Paschke Center
