Lost Nuts and Found Bolts

And the males of a certain color-  Long stuffed but never satisfied with the goods of their plunder and greed,  saw the end of their time approaching.  And so they turned up the volume of their need to control and subjugate all unlike themselves.  Ultimately, they doomed the planet, while searching for a suitable new home somewhere else in the galaxy.  That, after all, was easier  than righting the wrongs done for centuries to millions.  Yet, the smokestacks continued to bellow their message of disregard.
