Distant Cousins Lucille Jones c.1950 35mm slide converted to B&W d.jones 2020 A while back I received a box of slides that my Grandmother made in the 50's. I credit my Grandmother to introducing me to photography. It's only fitting I should acknowledge her influence. Some of these are from Grandma's slide shows.  More will be posted.

Shadow 35mm 2005-6 New York For the last several days I've been reading " American Witness"  The Art and Life of Robert Frank, By RJ Smith.   Frank lived with the painters, poets, writers, of the 50s,  Lived at a fever pitch.  images not for what they are but what they convey, what they feel, reveal Learned that I want to be present though invisible. The images  must be for the moment for the presence.  The Residue of the Experience.  Images that live in a deeper place

 MAX 2020 -  A new year and a continuation of image manipulation sprinkled with chance surprises. "Running Out of Time" digital proof- 2020 Where will these fragments of images lead? watching the newsfeeds, reading pages. Images of my dreams slip in and out of view. "Tears" digital proof, 2020 12/27/2019 Wanting to create images that mimics the recollection of images seen over a span of time. Or the reflection of movement, or a shadows glance. In 2015 I was introduced to MAX  which is a program which enables creatives to build synthesizers using visual code. My dilemma is that I was\am not a computer programmer. With the encouragement of others and the willingness to experiment, I built a virtual device that allows  me to create images  by layering multiple transparent images selected through use of a random number selector.
