Count down to departure - A MIDNIGHT VIEW

Image
Back Porch, 6830 around midnight Another image from scanned 35mm negatives. I like the way making images feels, it seems like then, I have some sort of control. If I was driving I would have left long ago. But the plane leaves on Monday. I am anxious of the unknown.

Almost ready to fly away

Louisville- 70's It's been a few weeks since I've visited.  But,  in a few days  I'll be heading  off to Ireland  with Marilyn.  For a two week residency. Away from the waiting,  towards an understanding of the other.  I see my life spent  waiting for something to happen and when it finally did  I saw it in retrospect.  In retrospect.

Twins - 63 years  ink on handmade cotton abaca paper  17.5" X 23.5" c. 2013 I was aboard the CTA train this morning - in my usual state of drowsiness, heading to work. The recorded announcement blared , warned commuters to be respectful of other riders.  It seems like everything had gotten smaller  or  I had gotten bigger.  I've been practicing writing with my right hand and writing backwards with my left. I can feel my brain adjusting to the new activity. And then I heard someone's twin sister is having a baby, the connection, the bond.
