Memorial Day-2018

I saw  an images of two GIs sitting on a bench or a log, they had survived being Prisoners of War - somewhere in the Pacific.

It amazes me that we persist at throwing each other into walls, with some kind of  conviction that if we throw enough humanity at those walls they will crumble and we will be free. But, by then the  piles of bodies, the stench of decay will be so immense that without even knowing we will have built a wall constructed by our own making, a wall that we will never scale.

It's seems it always the other guy's fault- but we know in our heart of hearts it isn't. We think we know everything, we know nothing.
