Twins - 63 years  ink on handmade cotton abaca paper  17.5" X 23.5" c. 2013 I was aboard the CTA train this morning - in my usual state of drowsiness, heading to work. The recorded announcement blared , warned commuters to be respectful of other riders.  It seems like everything had gotten smaller  or  I had gotten bigger.  I've been practicing writing with my right hand and writing backwards with my left. I can feel my brain adjusting to the new activity. And then I heard someone's twin sister is having a baby, the connection, the bond.

Today the fog rolled in and swallowed up everything. The film will have to wait to reveal it's latent image.

Peanut and Friends, A playdate, Louisville c.1975 Tootie, Louisville c. 1975 There were these two boys, brothers, Tootie and Peanut (their nicknames)- they lived downstairs from Marilyn and me. Their mom  Diane was a Free Spirit- an entrepreneurial single mother. Tootie would come upstairs, a very curious kid, autistic or something, mildly mentally challenged. He loved taking stuff apart. I taught him how to use a camera and to work the stereo equipment. He never took apart the various electrical or mechanical devices I had laying around. One day this guy came over to the house, He drove up in a shiny new Cadillac. It was Tootie's usual habit to greet visitors who came to the house. This guy didn't pay Tootie any mind, he sort of just brushed him off and made his way into the house.  Tootie got into the Cadillac and lay on the floorboard underneath the drivers side and tore out the wiring under the dashboard. Just pulled out wires fro...
